As part of our service we are now able to offer Dove releases at funerals.
Dove Delight are a Dove release specialist based in Staffordshire.
The doves they use are white racing pigeons, and are the only type of dove which should be released at funerals as they have a strong homing instinct and return home after they are released. They are kept at their loft locally in Stafford.
The birds receive training throughout the year to ensure that they will always return straight home once released. You may ask if making the birds fly long distances is cruel – the answer being no. In fact, it is actually extremely good exercise for them. Fresh water & the best quality feed available is waiting as their reward as soon as they return home.
Their birds are very special to them and are exercised on a daily basis.
